The Lancaster Golf Club first opened in 1943 with three sand-green holes. In 1961 six more holes were opened making Lancaster a 9-hole sand green course. In July 1995, Lancaster Golf Club opened its' rennovated 9-hole grass-green course designed by Todd Daniels.
Lancaster Golf Club is a hilly course. The course is located ajacent to the Two River. There are numerous trees and a few ponds dotting the course. Six holes runs along the river's edge and three have dogleg fairways in the design. On hole #8, a 405-yard, par 4, players must hit their ball over water twice and the green is also surrounded by water on three sides. Undulating fairways and greens are common throughout the layout.
Lancaster Riverside Golf Course plays to a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,139 yards and a 9-hole par of 36. The course rating is 34.6 with a slope rating of 117.
