Thompson Oaks Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in West Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Thompson Oaks Golf Course first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by David Kirscht.

The course is designed with seven par 3s and two par 4s. The two par 4s are 285 yards (Hole 7) and 353 yards (Hole 8). Seven of the nine holes have bunkers and water comes into play on three holes. 

Par for this short executive course is 29. From the back tees, the course plays to 1,675 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 1,258 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-4 that plays to 353 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 119 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 2, a 200-yard par-3 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Thompson Oaks Golf Course is # 1, a 125 yard par-3.

The course closed on February 26, 2018.

The YMCA, which is in talks with an undisclosed national retailer to sell its property, owns the land on which two of the course’s holes are located—property that the city leases. Once the property is sold, Thompson Oaks would be left with only seven holes. The course has needed about $50,000 dollars in a year in city subsidy to remain solvent. With the pending sale of YMCA land, the city chose to be pro-active and close the course and investigate new use for the property.
