Castlewoods Golf Club, The Bear

Castlewoods Golf Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Brandon, Mississippi. 

The 18-hole Bear course opened for play in 1994. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus.

The original eighteen hole course opened in 1976 was split in 1994, allowing nine holes (The North Nine) to be played by itself while the other nine holes were added to the new nine holes, creating the Bear Course.  

The narrow fairways on the Bear Course are tree lined and bordered by a thick cut of rough. Water hazards (three lakes and some creeks) come into play on seven holes. The smooth greens are fast and well bunkered.  The new nine holes were built on hilly terrain.
