Liberty Hills Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Liberty, Missouri
Designed by Jeff Klaiber, the Liberty Hills golf course first opened for play in 1967.
Golfers embark on a 6,530-yard jaunt that culminates at the highest elevation in Clay County. The fairways coil around two large central ponds that bear heavily on shot-making decisions. This very windy course has many hills that will cause uneven lies. However, since only a few trees are scattered alongside the fairways, they afford generous landing areas.
Black tees: par-70, 6,530 yards, 72.4 / 130
Blue tees: par-70, 6,043 yards, 70.0 / 126
White tees: par-70, 5,645 yards, 68.1 / 122(M), 73.0/ 126(W)
Red tees: par-72, 4,941 yards, 68.5/ 117
Front Nine ___________________________
#1 is a dogleg left that is slightly uphill and then downhill to the green. Tress are scattered along the left side of the fairway to a green with a bunker on the front left.
#2 is uphill to a green with a bunker that runs along the right side. The best tee shot is to the right side of the fairway.
#3 is a deceiving hole from appearance. Stay to the left of the tree along the fairway. Going to the right will end in the rough or one of several bunkers. Left of the tree will give the best approach to the raised green.
#4 is the first par 3 on the course. The hole goes uphill to a raised green on a mound. There are bunkers on the right side of the green.
#5 is a dog leg right with a fairway bunker about half way to the hole. Trees line both sides of the fairway.
#6 is a par 5 with water on the right of the tee that shouldn’t come into play. This dogleg left has bunkers at the turn and trees scattered on the left and right. A small creek is left of the cart path. The fairway slants right to left.
#7 starts by crossing a small creek and then is slightly uphill. The fairway is lined left and right with trees. There is a bunker on the right front of the green.
#8 is a par 3 over water and water running along the left side of the green. There is a small greenside bunker in front of the green.
#9 is a dogleg left with a pond that runs the length of the left side of the fairway. The closer to the green the more the water comes into play.
