Tapawingo National Golf Club -Meramec/Prairie/Woodland, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Sunset Hills, Missouri.
The Woodlands golf course opened in 1994 as an 18 hole course. It was expanded 3 years later with an additional 9 holes. The course(s) were designed by Gary Player.
This facility now has twenty-seven holes, giving it three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The Woodland/Prairie Course consists of the original eighteen holes. The front nine on the course is undulating and has a lot of wooded areas, while the back nine is a links-style design. The new Meramec Course differs slightly from the original holes in that it has a hint of a links-style layout and the greens are more undulating. The golf facility was built next to an Indian burial ground, and the Indian name means "Place of Joy." Turkeys, deer and Canadian geese are some of the wildlife seen in the area.
Three championship nines designed to allow the golfer to play at his or her skill level. Rivers, lakes and hardwood forests provide a varied golf experience.
