Centura Hills Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located 13 miles west of Grand Island in Cairo, Nebraska,
The Course first opened for play in 1996 with 9-holes. The second nine was added in 2007. The course was designed by Marty Johnson.
Use the first 6 holes to warm up and settle into your game. You'll need to, so that you can be ready for "Amen Bend" (holes 7-9). This is a section of the course where a church is nearby, the creek bends through the course, trouble lurks everywhere and bogies abound.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,878 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,049 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 528 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 152 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 16, the 528-yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Centura Hills is # 1, a 348 yard par-4.
The signature hole is #7. Some consider this 385 yard par-4 to be the real #1 handicap. The course challenges with its length, sloping terrain, native rough, out of bounds and the creek that is in front of the green.
