Quail Run Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Columbus, Nebraska.
Quail Run Golf Course first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Frank Hummel.
Since it's opening in 1991, Quail Run remains one of the top-ranked golf courses in Nebraska, as well as the Midlands.
With its challenging par 5's, sporty par 3's and fair but demanding par 4's all carved through towering cottonwoods along the Loup River, the course offers players a unique blend of new course architecture in a mature environment. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on at least eight holes.
At Quail Run, they have six (including the juniors, ages eleven and under) sets of tees allowing golfers at any level of expertise to enjoy the game of golf. The Quail Run Golf Course is opened to the public with an easily accessible tee time policy (7-days in advance). Open play is available almost every day of the season.
The Quail Run Golf Course plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 7,024 yards. The course rating is 73.9 and the slope rating is 126 on Rye grass. The course plays longer than the yardage indicates due to flat terrain and soft fairways.
