The Crofton Lakeview Golf Course first opened for play in 1989.
The Crofton Lakeview Golf Course is a narrow course with many out-of-bounds stakes lining the fairways. The greens are small, but putt true. #4 provides a spectacular yet harrowing view. From the tee, you get an eyeful of the dangerous twisting turning downhill 4th fairway but you also get a panoramic view of the lake. A good test is hole #6, a 492-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg right fairway and requiring a half-blind approach shot uphill to the green. The tee shot on the par 3, #8 is completely blind, so a light system rigged from green to tee is used to signal all clear.
Crofton Lakeview Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par of 36 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 2,925 yards. The course rating is 34.7 and the slope rating is 115.
