Kearney Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Kearney, Nebraska.
Kearney Country Club first opened for play in 1915 with 7 holes. The course was expanded to 9 holes the following year. In 1921 the course was expanded to 18 holes. The 18-hole sand green golf links operated from 1921 to 1946 when the course converted to grass greens and was shortened to 12 holes. Leo Johnson added the back nine and redesigned the existing holes in 1972.
This course has water hazards coming into play on two holes. The terrain is hilly, so you can expect many uneven lies, and the greens are extremely undulating, so three putting is a fairly common occurrence.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,115 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,245 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 14, a par-5 that plays to 538 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 10, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 12, a 390 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 9, a 167 yard par-3 requiring a short tee shot to a large-sized green.
