Tara Hills Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located southwest Omaha in Papillion, Nebraska. This is one of two courses owned by the town of Papillion, the other coyrse is Eagle Hills Golf Course.
Tara Hills opened in 1981 as a 9 hole design, and was expanded to 18 holes in 1993. The course was designed by Patrick Wyss.
The layout is challenging with a good amount of bunkering, water on six holes, and narrow fairways bordered by homes along the course. Good change of pace with the holes, some open, others lined with trees that have grown up well with the course, and now have defined the layout.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6.160 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4.879 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 513 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 160 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 18, a 373 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Tara Hills is # 3, a 165 yard par-3.
