Detailed description

The Club at Sunrise Golf Course, previously named Desert Rose Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in the eastern portion of Old Las Vegas, Nevada, 3 blocks west of Nellis Blvd., off Sahara Ave just minutes from "The Strip."

The course opened for play in 1963. It is one of the first golf facilities built in Las Vegas and has all the charm of an early modern design.

The course was designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee (think Bay Hill, Doral, and Callaway Gardens).

Desert Rose closed in July 2013 to allow for a $50 million flood control construction project. Sixteen of the eighteen holes will be reconstructed after the flood control project. The club re-opened in summer of 2016 after undergoing a full renovation by golf course architect Randy Heckenkemper. The name of the course was changed at that time to The Club at Sunrise Golf Course. The renovation was also a part of the larger Las Vegas wash project. The golf course is owned by Clark County

This par 72 traditional layout is fun for golfers of all skill levels. The course has tight fairways and challenging green complexes.
