The Atlantic Country Club was founded in 1897.
As one of America’s oldest and most prestigious golf clubs, Atlantic City Country Club has been home to many firsts, including being the "Birth place of the Birdie." The Course has a tradition of fast a firm greens with uncompromising playing conditions and its bayside setting is reminiscent of the historic links in Scotland and Ireland.
The course as we know it was designed in 1923 by William Flynn. In 1998, the course was completely renovated by designer Tom Doak. The renovations maintained the course's tradition of fast and firm greens while enhancing the dramatic skyline views of Atlantic City.
