Detailed description

Heritage Links Golf Club is a public 9-hole golf course located in Ocean View, New Jersey.

Heritage links is a nine hole executive course. Other than the absence of par-5s, this course plays and looks like a very nice 18 hole course. Each hole at Heritage Links provides a unique challenge.

Hole #1: A par-three that plays to 179 yards from the back tee, 141 yards from the middle tee and 99 yards from the forward tee. It has an elevated tee box, a straight, rolling fairway and an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the right.

Hole #2: A par-four that plays to 301 yards from the back tee, 269 yards from the middle tee and 251 yards from the forward tee. The green is guarded with a bunker to the right of the green.

Hole #3: This is the signature hole. This par-three has slightly elevated tees and plays to a very short 124, 109 or 96 yards. Wha’s the catch? There’s no fairway; you have to hit over water and avoid the large bunker protecting the slightly elevated green.

Hole #4: This par-three plays to 139, 118 or 102-yard. This hole has a dogleg right with water on the right and a bunker to the left of the green.

Hole #5: This is a straight, par-three with elevated tees that play to 143, 136 or 123-yard.

Hole # 6: A par-four, that plays to 339 yards from the back tee, 312 yards from the middle tee, and 246 yards from the forward tee.

Hole #7: This par-three has an elevated tee box and plays to 172, 156, or 125 yards. Keep it straight and you will be on the green in regulation.

Hole #8: Many consider this par-four to be the best hole on the course. A lake on the left of the hole parallels the back and middle tees (338-yards) and (323-yards) and crosses in front of the forward tees (252-yards).

Hole #9: Looking down at the lake and the club house from the par-three ninth tees (plays to 151, 138 and 108 yards) makes this hole a visually pleasant finishing hole. The green is bookmarked with the lake on the left and a bunker on the right.

Don’t miss paying your respects at the family cemetery on the hill between 8 and 9. At the top of the long hill is a large grove of trees that helps mark the Family Burial Ground. A tombstone put there by the American Legion reads: “Jacob Corson, private, Captain Willet Company, Cape May Infantry, seaman, Revolutionary War, 1720-1803.”

Hot Dog Wednesdays are $23 for nine holes of golf with a cart, one hot dog and a soda. Regular greens fees are $25 (walking) and $7.50 for a riding cart.
