Detailed description
Dimmock Hill Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Binghamton, New York.

The original 9 hole course took 5 years to build and was opened on Memorial Day, 1975. The architect, builder and designer of the golf course is Michael Senio, an Endicott, New York native. The second 9 holes was added in 1996.

The 18 hole layout was carved out of a virgin hardwood forest and encompasses 139 acres of rolling landscapes. There are 5 ponds on the course, all of which are designed to capture and store surface water run-off. The largest pond (6 acres, 270,000 square feet, average depth of 8 feet), contains over 2 million gallons of clean irrigation water, which would be enough water to irrigate the golf course two hours a day for 180 consecutive days and still have an abundant supply remaining. The pond is designed so that, from a typical summer thunderstorm, any downpour will completely fill the pond, so they never run out of water even in the most arid of conditions. This course has open, yet tree-lined fairways. The greens are average speed and large. There are water hazards that come into play on five holes. This is a fun course for the beginning golfer. Ladies tee off from the same set as the men.

The facility also operates a national mail-order business (founded in 1964) selling professional golf equipment world wide. In fact, they have advertised their Golf Equipment business for 45 consecutive years in Golf Digest magazine. Dimmock Hill Golf is the oldest retail advertiser in Golf Digest Magazine (yes, we preceded Edwin Watts, Golfsmith, Nevada Bob’s, etc.).

Dimmock Hill Golf Course measures 5,073 yards from the tips and plays to a par of 66.
