East Hampton Golf Club opened for play in 2000. The course was designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore.
East Hampton Golf Club has been called “visually stunning†by Hall of Fame golfer Ben Crenshaw, who with partner Bill Coore designed the course on just 126 acres of land.
The Coore/ Crenshaw team carved the 6,400 yard, 18-hole course out of an already impressive pastoral landscape. The front nine is an old links style course that imbues classic golf with tall depths of wispy Fescue. An added challenge on this nine is the potential to be faced with unpredictable strong prevailing winds. When turning onto the back nine the player is faced with tight tree lined fairways which have a natural undulating landscape that requires endurance and thoughtful placement. The natural rustic nature of the course endures through all 18 holes.
East Hampton Golf Club plays to a par 71 and maximum distance of 6,400 yards. The forward tees measure 4,712 yards.
