Whiteface Inn Resort & Club, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Lake Placid, New York.
Whiteface Club and Resort golf course first opened for play in 1898. The course layout played today was designed by John Van Kleek in 1935.
This is one of the best courses in the north country. This scenic course has narrow fairways and was built on rolling hills. The medium-sized greens are undulating and difficult to read. The course has a great mountain setting with panoramic views.
#6 is the signature hole. This 490-yard, par 5, requires a tee shot directly at Whiteface Mountain from off an elevated tee to a dogleg left fairway.
#14 a 218-yard, par 3 requires hitting over a pond with trees bordering closely on each side. Your shot has to land on a tiered green bordered by huge bunkers.
The Whiteface course plays to 6,490 yards for a course rating of 71.5 and a slope rating of 123.
Back tees: par-72, 6,490 yards, course rating 71.5, slope rating 123.
