La Tourette Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Staten Island, New York.
La Tourette golf course first opened for play in 1920. The course was designed by David L. Rees. In 1935, John Van Kleek designed nine new holes and redesigned the original nine. Frank Duane remodeled four holes in 1964.
Rolling across the hills and valleys overlooking historic Richmond Town, this 6,692 yard layout is championship caliber golf at its finest. The La Tourette golf course has rolling fairways, bunkered greens and numerous trees. #14, a 354-yard, par 4, has an elevated tee that provides a sweeping view of the course and the clubhouse, which is an 1836 Greek Revival building.
Getting to this course can be part of the fun. Hop on the Staten Island Ferry from Lower Manhattan and check out the Statue of Liberty en route, or cruise over the Verrazano Narrows Bridge from Brooklyn.
