Detailed description
The Country Club Of Troy is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Troy, New York.

The Country Club Of Troy golf course first opened for play in 1927. The course was designed by Walter Travis.

The course bears Travis’ signature design principles: • Bunkers requiring particular attention from the teeing ground. • Undulating greens (in Travis’s words “seldom if ever flat…”). One round illustrates the varied topography on which Travis applied his principles. The course ranges over 325 acres and is arguably the hilliest course in the Capital District. The 10th green and 11th tee are 460 feet above sea level, and on a clear day, the view extends over 50 miles southwest to the Catskill Mountains. The Country Club Of Troy golf course was built on hilly terrain and has fairways that vary in width. The greens are medium-sized and fast, and there is water that comes into play on several holes.

The Country Club Of Troy golf course plays to 6,412 yards from the tips for a course rating of 71.3 and a slope rating of 122. Par for the course is 71.
