Black Mountain Golf Course

Black Mountain Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

The front nine holes of the course, designed by Donald Ross, opened for play in 1929. The back nine holes opened in 1962.

Black Mountain Golf Club is located at the foot of the Black Mountain Range in western North Carolina. The course is the home to a 747-yard, par-6 hole, which at one time was the longest hole in the world.

Bent grass greens and plush fairways add to the attraction of this municipal golf course.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6215 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4959 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-6 that plays to 747 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 10, a par-3 that plays to 137 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 12, a 431 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 2, a 477 yard par-5.
