Detailed description

Sherwood Forest Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Brevard, North Carolina.

Sherwood Forest Golf Club first opened in 1968.

It is easy to think of Sherwood Forest as a scale model of a regulation golf course. It is about one-third as long as a regular-sized course; it takes about two-thirds of the strokes to reach par; and it costs about one third as much to play.

Sherwood Forest Golf Club is an executive eighteen hole course has a heavily wooded front nine, and a wide open back nine. Each hole is unique and requires shot accuracy for low scores. There are no sand bunkers on the course, but the water hazards come into play on eight holes.

Total yardage is between 2,260 and 2,450 depending on which tee is used. The par is 54 and 55, again depending on which tee is used. Par for women on this course is 62.

Don't forget the llamas! Yes, if you call in advance you can schedule to have a llama as your caddie. The course charges $10 for 9 holes per golfer. Rental of a llama is $40 for 9 holes, but the llama can carry two golf bags and comes with a handler. $10 for golf, $40 for llama, priceless.
