Detailed description
Paradise Point Golf Course, is a Military, 36 hole golf facility located at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The facility has two 18- hole golf courses, The Gold Course and The Scarlet Course. Once on the base, the Paradise Point Golf Course is located on Brewster Boulevard approximately two miles past the Naval Hospital.

These two courses were built on flat terrain and are considered easy to walk. The Gold is an 18 hole course with par of 72. The Scarlet is an 18 hole course with par of 70. YOU MUST HAVE A DOCUMENTED HANDICAP OF 24 OR LESS TO PLAY THE GOLD COURSE.

Paradise Point Golf Course, The Scarlet Course first opened for play in 1943. The course was designed by Fred Findlay.

The Scarlet Course has narrow fairways an well-bunkered greens. Again, renovations were made in 2003/2004. Additionally, numerous plaques have been placed around the course identifying various historical sites/events on or near Paradise Point. As an example, when the #12 hole was being rebuilt 100 yds west of it's original location, a suspected gravesite was found. Archeologists searched the area and discovered an American Indian burial ground. This area has been enclosed by a white fence and has been designated and registered as a historical site.

Paradise Point Golf Course, The Scarlet Course plays to a par-70 and maximum distance of 5,865 yards. The course rating is 67.2 and the slope rating is 112.
