Detailed description

Castle Bay Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Hampstead, North Carolina.

The Golf Course at Castle Bay Country Club first opened for play in 1999. The course was designed by Randy Blanton.

Castle Bay Country Club golf course is a challenging, Scottish links style 18-hole championship course. The course is situated on rolling hills and is unique in the area due to the absence of trees on the property. Although there are no trees on the course, there are the typical links hazards of tall bunkers, water, and waste areas. True to the tradition, the course demands excellent shot placement on almost every hole. This challenging, links-style design offers generous landing areas and large, extremely-undulating and fast greens. Thick native grass covers the fairway mounding and the prevailing offshore winds make this course extremely demanding.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,713 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,717 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 589 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 4, the 589 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 10, a 387 yard par-4.
