Eagle Chase golf course first opened for play in 1994. The course was designed by Tom Jackson.
Eagle Chase's layout features drastic elevation changes on several holes, giving players a mountain golfing experience, a couple of hours east of the Appalachian Mountains. Eagle Chase is situated in northern Union County, just to the east of Charlotte. The course's green complexes require a variety of shots, as they sit both down in valleys and atop hills. Many of the tee boxes are elevated and offer picturesque views of the Uwharrie Mountains in the distance.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,723 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,842 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 533 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 152 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 15, a 413-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Eagle Chase Golf Clu is # 4, a 363 yard par-4.
