The course first opened for play in 1912 with 9 holes, designed by A. W. Tillinghast. The course became an 18-hole challenge in 1924 with design work by Donald Ross. The course has been renovated a number of times, the most recent in 2007 with the design work done by Kris Spence.

Black tees: par-71, 6,784 yards, 72.8 / 136

Blue tees: par-71, 6,513 yards, 71.4 / 133

White tees: par-71, 6,156 yards, 69.6 / 127

Gold tees: par-71, 5,542 yards, 67.1 / 120

Red tees: par-71, 5,038 yards, 69.7 / 123(W), 64.8 / 109(M)

While the course is a par 71, there are two options on how to play the 8th hole which is normally a par 5 measuring 561 yards from the back tees. If you want to you can play it as a par 4 which measures 445 yards from the back tees and turn the whole course from a par 71 to a par 70.

The course has mature trees and nice scenery, with some pleasant elevation changes and doglegs, especially on the front nine which is both the appealing and more difficult of the two nines.
