Beechwood Golf Course is a Public, 27 hole golf facility located in Arcanum, Ohio. The facility has three 9-hole courses, The Lakeview, The Creekside, and The Woodland. These 9 hole courses can be combined in various combinations to make 3 different 18 hole golf experiences.
The Woodland and Creekside Nines opened for play in 1989. The Lakeview Nine was added in 1997. The course was designed by Jerry Smith.
The Lakeview Course requires players to carry water hazards on two of the first three holes, #2, a 161-yard, par 3, and #3, a 349-yard, par 4. The Lakewood also has extensive mounding that accentuates the already hilly terrain, making an even lie somewhat hard to find.
The original layout is the Woodland/Creekside Course. This design has water hazards that come into play on eleven holes. Seven holes play through the woods, and there are more than sixty mounds that can cause uneven lies. The greens are well manicured, and the terrain is fairly rolling. There are two severe dogleg left fairways on hole #7 on the Woodlake Course, and #2/11 on the Creekside Course.
