Mercer County Elks Country Club first opened for play in 1960.The course was designed by Harold Paddock.

The course was cut out of the woods. There are five separate water hazards coming into play on ten holes. The dogleg fairways were built on rolling terrain and vary in width. The greens are average-sized, but very fast.
