Atwood Lake Resort Golf Course is a Resort 27 hole golf facility located in Dellroy, Ohio. The facility has two courses, The Eighteen Hole Course and The Par-3 Course that has 9 holes.
The courses first opened for play in 1966.
The Eighteen Hole Course was built on rolling to hilly terrain. This course features one of the longest holes in the State of Ohio and one of the shortest holes in State of Ohio. The longest hole is #3, a 614-yard, par 5; the shortest hole is #9, a 116-yard, par 3, requiring a downhill tee shot to a small green. The fairways are narrow because they are lined by mature trees, and the greens are medium-sized and slightly contoured. There is one pond that comes into play on hole #14.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,152 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,188 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 614 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 116 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 614 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 185 yard par-3.
The course and resort closed in 2010. The resort has re-opened and the par-3 course is scheduled to reopen June 2013. The front-9 of the 18-hole course is sheduled to reopen in the Spring 2014 followed by the reopening of the back-9 in the Spring of 2015.
