The Sanctuary offers a relaxing and peaceful "back to nature" experience. The course has Bent Grass greens, tees, and fairways. With 5 sets of tees on each hole, The course provides a fair and interesting challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

Watch out for # 13, a 471-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Sanctuary Golf Course is # 2, a 153-yard par-3.

The course closed in October 2023.

McKinley Development acquired the Sanctuary, formally known as the Bob-O-Link North Course, in 2001. McKinley Development Co., a partnership of DeHoff Development Co. and Lemmon Development, said the 18-hole public golf course was never profitable The Bob-O-Link South Course was purchased a few years later and developed into a mixed-use residential development for single-family homes, villa homes and multifamily units.

Lemmon created the name change to The Sanctuary when the north course was reconfigured in 2003 and 2004. The name alludes to a back-to-nature feel of wetlands on the back nine.

McKinley Development Co., a partnership of DeHoff Development Co. and Lemmon Development, said the 18-hole public golf course was never profitable.
