Heritage Hills Golf Course first opened for play in 1977. The course was designed by Donald Sechrest.
Heritage Hills is an 18-hole public golf course operating under the direction of the Rogers County Public Facilities Authority.
The project was conceived in the early 1970's as a subdivision of Claremore Junior College, now known as Rogers State University. It was the first golf course ever built utilizing funding from the Farmers Home Administration.
In 1996, HHGC broke away from the University and the Rogers County Public Facilities Authority was born. The RCPFA is a public trust with board members appointed by the Commissioners of Rogers County. Heritage Hills is entirely self sufficient and receives no financial backing from any government agency. The project is legally recognized as a non-profit organization and any donations to HHGC are tax-deductible.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,701 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,909 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 573 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 187 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, the 573 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Heritage Hills is # 16, a 366 yard par-4.
