Don Valley Golf Course is an 18 hole golf course located in Toronto, Ontario.
The course first opened in 1956. Howard Watson was the course architect.
The course sits on hilly terrain. Expect to play from a lot of uneven lies. The fairways are wide and lined with seventy-year-old trees. Water hazards come into play on nine different holes, and sand bunkers come into play throughout the design. The greens are fairly large, sloped and fairly fast.
Don Valley's Hallelujah Corner includes the signature Par 5 12th hole followed by an outstanding par 3 challenge.
Equally Challenging is #12, a 490-yard, par 5, which allows players a choice of going for the narrow, elevated green in two, or laying up. The green is protected by a lake sitting in front of the green. If the second shot comes up short it will roll back into the lake.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,13 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,988 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 138 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 12, a 490-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Don Valley Golf Course is # 7, a 164 yard par-3.
