Royal Woodbine Golf Club is an 18 hole, semi-private golf course located in Toronto, Ontario.
The course opened for play in 1992. The course architects were Michael Hurdzan & Dana Fry.
This links-style course requires accuracy and is considered by many to be target golf at its best. The greens are relatively small, fast and undulating, while the fairways are narrow and lined with trees and fescue. The Mimico Creek winds its way through the course and comes into play on every hole. You will encounter dogleg fairways on ten holes.
The signature hole is #18, a 585-yard, par 5, requiring a straight tee shot to a narrow landing area, the second shot over a creek and a third over a pond to a well-bunkered green.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,405 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,161 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 585 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 168 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 16, a 419-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Royal Woodbine is # 4, the 168 yard par-3.
