Forest Lake Club, is a Private, 9 hole golf course located in Hawley, Pennsylvania. The Club also offers shooting, boating, racquet sports, and social events.
The Club was established in 1882. Golf at Forest Lake dates to 1899 when golf was played on a 1,300 yard, eight-hole, golf course. The course played today is a modification and updating of the rerouted expansion of the original course that took place in 1915. Forest Lake is listed as the second oldest continuously operating golf facility in Pennsylvania.
This executive nine-hole course plays to a distance of 2,493-yards and a par 32 men/par 38 women. The course is devoid of sand bunkers and no water hazards. However, there are numerous grass bunkers protecting many of the small greens making each approach shot on the tight fairways difficult. Large oak trees and northern pines add to the ambiance and the challenge.
