Regents' Glen Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in York, Pennsylvania.
Regents' Glen Country Club first opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.
The course at Regents' Glen is extremely playable, but, with plenty of challenges that will test your best shot-making skills.
The course begins simply enough, with a front side laid out on gently undulating meadows, perfect for those who might like to walk a leisurely nine. The back side, however, is a little more hilly, and a little more difficult, with strategically placed bunkers, lakes and a hidden brook that lies in wait for miss-hit shots.
#11 has a large, devilishly situated lake that presents a serious challenge. Those who dare to carry a large portion of this hazard will be rewarded with a shorter approach to the flagstick. But the hidden brook and deep bunker in front of the green make arriving in regulation a tall order, regardless of the strategy one chooses from the tee.
#13, a 343-yard, par 4, is the signature hole and features a dogleg right fairway that plays downhill and over a creek to a double-tiered green. #13 passes through a heavily wooded glen, giving the course its name and giving inaccurate golfers trouble.
#15 reads as a short par four on the card, but with an extreme dogleg right, it takes a long drive to see the pin. Proper club selection and accuracy are important on the approach, as a misjudged shot here will reacquaint you with the hidden brook.
#16 and #17 are back-to-back par fives. These two long holes give you the opportunity to use several different clubs.
#18 is one of the most beautiful finishing holes you will find.
Regents' Glen Country Club plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 6,188 yards. The course rating is 70.2 with a slope rating of 126.
