El Conquistador Resort & Country Club, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
The El Conquistador Resort & Country Club Golf Course first opened for play in 1992. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.
El Conquistador Golf Course is a regulation length, par-72, 18 hole golf course. Experience elevation changes of more than 200 feet - rare among typically flat Caribbean golf resorts. There are ocean views on 15 out of 18 holes and take in the greens, dotted with palm trees, lush island flora, and fauna. Wildlife you might see will include Iguana, mongoose, turtle, fish, and various birds, including pelicans, egrets, and hummingbirds.
The course closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Maria in September 2017. There are plans to reopen the course, however, as of September 2019, the course remains closed.
