Metacomet Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in East Providence, Rhode Island.
The original Metacomet was six holes and then increased to nine holes on what is now the southern section of the Agawam Hunt Club. The original course opened in 1898.
Metacomet moved to the Barrington Parkway in 1919. The Barrington Parkway course was originally designed by Leonard Byles. In 1924, Donald J. Ross was hired to consult and re-design the golf course which currently stands. The Ross-designed course was opened on August 7, 1926.
