The front 9 opened in 1959. as King Phillip Country Club, but on December 31st of the same year, the name was changed to Quidnessett Country Club. Geoffrey Cornish and William G. Robinson designed the back nine, which opened in 1974.
This links-style course is located near the ocean. The greens are large, quick and undulating. The fairways are somewhat narrow. Water hazards come into play on a number of holes.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,940 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5870 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 592 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 176 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 465-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 15, a 331 yard par-4.
