Greenville Country Club is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Greenville, South Carolina. The facility has two 18-hole championship golf courses, they are The Chanticleer Golf Course and The Riverside Golf Course.
The Chanticleer Golf Course at Greenville Country Club opened for play in 1970. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
The course is affectionately nicknamed by some as the longest 6,900 yards in America. This layout is privately situated as a golf-only facility. The course has rolling fairways, towering hardwoods and pines, pure white sand, gently flowing creeks, and some of the most challenging greens found anywhere.
The 6,900 yard. par-72 course has an impressive slope of 150 and course rating of 74.9 from the tips with water and or out of bounds on all 18 holes.
