Patriots Point Golf Links is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, convenient to downtown Charleston.
The course first opened for play in 1981. The course was designed by Willard Byrd, with later with updates by Annika Sorenstam.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6.856 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5.562 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 567 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees. This par-3 has an island green and is considered one of the best par 3s in the area.
Watch out for # 5, a 436 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 193 yard par-3.
Overlooking Charleston Harbor, Fort Sumter, and Shem Creek, Patriots Point Links is known for its excellent putting surfaces and challenging waterfront finishing holes. The par-3, 17th hole, is the signature hole. The hole makes great use of the coastal marshland and the harbor view.
