Detailed description

Old Natchez Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Franklin, Tennessee.

Old Natchez Country Club first opened for play in 1975. The course was designed by Gary Baird.

Old Natchez was built on rolling hills, so you can expect some uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on twelve holes. The fairways are undulating and tree lined, and many of the greens are elevated.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,501 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,665 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 562 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 156 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 418 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 13, a 160 yard par-3.

The signature hole is #3, a 381-yard, par 4, which is famous for its "slave wall" (a place were slaves hid during the Civil War). The golfer has a choice of two fairways on this hole. The left fairway has a water hazard that comes into play on the left side, and the right fairway requires a blind approach shot to a forty-foot elevated green. There are two other holes that feature similar "slave holes."
