Belle Meade Country Club is a Private 18 holes golf course located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Belle Meade Country Club first opened for play in 1901. The course was designed by Donald Ross.
The course was redesigned in 2003 by Rees Jones. The redesign created all new greens, tees, and bunkers; selected fairways were regraded and three holes were rerouted.
Belle Meade has a longstanding spot on the Top Ten courses in Tennessee and its reputation is well deserved. The course is challenging and missed fairways find a heavy Bermuda rough that takes skill to hit a recovery shot. Drive placement is essential with approach shots to complex greens surrounded by bunkers, water or both. Several creeks run through the course and lakes with stone banking and bridges add to the natural beauty. The course is lined with mature trees and few homes are seen from the course. The track plays well for any handicap and the conditioning is always immaculate.
As a full-service country club, amenities include tennis courts, a pool, lounge, restaurant and a beautiful outside terrace. Members have an excellent retreat at Belle Meade.
