Jimmy Clay Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Austin, Texas. The course is one of six courses owned by the Austin Parks & Recreation. The courses are: Hancock Golf Course, Jimmy Clay Golf Course, Joe Balander Golf Course, Roy Kizer Golf Course, Lions Golf Course, Morris Williams Golf Course
The Jimmy Clay Golf Course opened in 1974. Jimmy Clay Golf Course was designed by Joe Finger.
Jimmy Clay Golf Course was built on a relatively flat site surrounded by Williamson Creek. The course plays to a maximum distance of 6,918 yards through treed areas as well as open spaces. The course is characterized by its relatively large, elevated greens and forgiving tee shots.
In 1994, Jimmy Clay Golf Course became part of a 36 hole complex with the addition of the Roy Kizer Golf Course on the southern portion of the site. Together the two courses make up one of the finest public 36 hole complexes in Texas.
In 2007, Jimmy Clay Golf Course underwent major renovations. This included three holes being redesigned, all of the greens being replanted, and all of the bunkers being rebuilt.
