Watch out for # 11, the 559 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. No. 11, abounds in natural beauty, it's a double dog-leg, par 5 that starts out with a tee shot over a water hazard and culminates with a difficult dog leg left around a cypress lake. Another tough hole is No. 6, a 202 yard par 3 over a water hazard, which is one of the most difficult holes in this area. The par 4, No. 13, described as "threading the needle," starts with a very tight tee shot through a narrow opening with woods on both sides. No. 16, a long narrow par 4 with out-of-bounds on the right and No. 17, yet another par 4 with out-of-bounds and a green protected by a grove of trees has been referred to as Devil's Elbow. Many a match has come to terms on these final holes.

One of large trees on hole #15 is called Freddie Couples'''' tree. The story is that Freddie played here while he was attending the University of Houston and would blast his drive over the tree which is almost 300 yards from the tee.

The easiest hole is # 9, the 135 yard par-3.
