Pinecrest Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Longview, Texas.
Pinecrest Country Club first opened for play in 1921 as a 9-hole course with sand greens. Pinecrest is one of the oldest courses in the state. The course was updated in 1959 by Press Maxwell, making it an 18-hole, 6,500-yard, par-70 layout. The design incorporates water hazards and mounding around the greens.
The front is the more demanding of the nines, featuring many testy holes. #2 is a long par-5 highlighted by a creek on the right that crosses the fairway at 220 yards from the tee. The same goes for # 5, a 437-yard par 4 with a creek in the landing area. The par-5 hole #4 is rated the most difficult, but #2 is a 457-yard par 4 that requires two solid golf shots to get home in two.
