Brackenridge Park Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located just north of downtown San Antonio, Texas.
Brackenridge Park Golf Course first opened for play in 1916. The course was designed by A. W. Tillinghast. The 2008 restoration of "Old Brack" by John Colligan re-routed the course to Tillinghast's original layout and renewed its conditions to premier standards. The front nine is lined with mature oaks and pecans but the back nine open where the wind comes into play.
Brackenridge Park Golf Course is also the new site of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame. Come visit the clubhouse to see the "Walk of Fame", the "Wall of Frames", and the Texas Tournament Trophy Room!
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,243 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,279 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 511 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 133 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, the 511-yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Brackenridge is # 15, the 133 yard par-3.
