Windcrest Golf Club

Windcrest Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 9 hole golf course located in Windcrest, Texas, just 10 minutes from downtown San Antonio and conveniently located between Ft. Sam Houston and Randolph AFB with easy access from 410 and  I-35.

Opened in 1964, Windcrest Golf Club was once one of the area's destination private layouts. At one time, Windcrest boasted a private membership roll of 300. But a slumping industry and a drop-off in those numbers forced the club to allow public play early in 2010.

The small nine-hole layout includes plays to a par-34, has only one par-5, and measures 2,485 yards from back tees, but narrow fairways and numerous trees make it a shot-maker's test. Water hazards come into play on several holes.  There is an additional set of tees that can be used when playing a double loop eighteen hole round.
