Detailed description

Cottonwood Country Club is a Private, short. par-3, 9 hole golf course located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Cottonwood Country Club first opened for play in 1960. The course was designed by William Henrichsen Neff.

The Cottonwood Club was founded in the 1950's by a small group of people, mostly from the "Cottonwood" area, who desired to start a family-oriented club to include swimming, tennis, horseback riding, golf and clubhouse facilities. Property for the Club was purchased from the Moyle Estate and starting in 1955, ground was broken on the first phase of construction. Initial improvements consisted of the swimming pool, locker house, two tennis courts and horseback riding facilities. In 1959, the original clubhouse was built, at a cost of $85,000. The following year, the golf course was opened. Over the years, the Club has developed into the full-service, family-oriented facility of today.

Their par 3 course has small greens that leaves little room for error. The fairways are very narrow because they are lined by many oak trees that can affect your shots. This "pitch and putt" course is a great place for practicing your short irons.

Green tees: par-27, 1,107 yards

White tees: par-27, 978 yards
