Hobble Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by William F. Bell.
Hobble Creek GC is one of Utah's better public courses. It was built in Hobble Creek Canyon, which is in Springville, and offers some of the best scenery in Utah. This is a tree-lined course with many narrow fairways. The greens are difficult to read because of their speeds and varying undulations. Water hazards (creeks and ponds) come into play on a number of holes, and numerous sand bunkers are spread throughout the course. It has a unique golf course design that prides its difficulty not in distance but in accuracy.
