The Quechee Club is a Private 36 hole golf course facility in Quechee, Vermont. The Quechee Club has two 18-hole championship course, The Highland Course, and The Lakeland Course.
The Highland Course has the distinction of being named #1 in the State of Vermont by Golf Digest. The Highland Course features a combination of gently rolling and elevated, tree-lined fairways, along with rock walls and bunkers.
The Highland Course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish. It was the first of the two Quechee Club golf courses. It opened in 1970, five years before The Lakeland Course opened.
This is a par 72 course. The course plays to 6,765 yards from the gold tees, 6,479 yards from the blue tees, 6,204 from the white tees and 5,439 yards from the red tees.
Encircled in many areas by stands of trees, and defined by dramatic elevation changes from tee box to green on a variety of holes, this course encourages strategic play and accurate shooting. A number of side-hill lies and panoramic views add to the challenge of staying focused and getting that low score.
