The Winton Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1970. The course was designed by Ed Ault.
The beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains provide the backdrop for Winton's 18-Hole championship golf course. Unlike most Central Virginia area courses, Winton's gently rolling hills make for a much easier round of golf for walkers. This course is known for its open fairways and small greens. Since the course is surrounded by mountains, you can expect some very scenic vistas. A lake comes into play on at least two holes.
