Captains Cove

Captain's Cove, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Greenbackville, Virginia. A short 20 minute ride from Greenbackville will take you to Chincoteague, add another 5 to 10 minutes and you are on Assateague Island where the famous ponies roam. For those looking for a faster pace, you can be in Ocean City, Maryland in about 30 minutes

Captain's Cove first opened for play in 1972. The course was rennovated in 2006 with the design handled by Lester George

This Scottish links-style course has out-of-bounds stakes lining all nine holes. The course has large greens and well-bunkered fairways. There is water that comes into play on a number of holes.

During the winter, migrating ducks, geese and swans come by the tens of thousands to settle in. This is a bird watchers paradise.
